Happy V-Day from Miss Lottie & Miss Izzy (H-Bomb)

Here are some snaps from the first few dizzy days. Miss Izzy is 11 weeks old today!

Thanks to all who suggested names for the little cotton ball. Izzy was suggested by "Anonymous" (Sam?) and Emily, so a special thanks to the both of them! And a big V-Day hug to the friends who have showered Miss Lottie & Miss Izzy in treats, toys, and love these past few days.

And baby makes three! (The Lott)

This morning Heather and I went to the breeder's home again to visit the puppy a second time. It was a much calmer scene as all of the other dogs were down in the rumpus room. I only had to worry about steering clear of the one 4-legged dust bunny today. Heather loaded us both up on treats which really distracted me from the fact that I was hanging out pretty close to the little ankle biter. And, guess what? Nothing bad happened. The puppy didn't get up in my face once, although she did check me out from a distance. Mainly she had fun grubbing for food and hanging out with Heather and Susan, her first human Mom.

They gave her the puppy aptitutude test again and she was quite a bit more energetic, inquisitive, and confident than yesterday. Later, the puppy chased Heather around the front yard as well as she could on those little legs. She even toted around a pine comb that was probably three times the size of her head. All told, she's far calmer and less rambunctions than her big beefy brothers who are double her size. Thank goodness. I think she'll make a good buddy once we both get to know each other so I told Heather it was ok to get her. We'll go pick her up next Saturday. Let the procuring or borrowing of extra small crates (one for home, one for the office, and one for the car) and the collecting of silly little toys and miniature sweaters begin!

She's pretty cute, almost as cute as I was at her age.

Here she is biting her sister's tail. She better not try that with me or I'll have to give her the what for. Susan thinks that one stern talking to from me is all she'll need to get back in line. No worries there. I'm good at stern.

The big decision has been made, but now we have an even bigger decision to make. The puppy needs a name. This is where you come in. Ideally a name well suited for her, that sounds good paired with Miss Lottie, and to which you can add the "eee" sound to the end if you feel so inclined (as Heather tends to do).

If you have any suggestions, please leave a COMMENT. If you like what someone else has suggested, let us know that too. May the best name win!

Puppies Taste Like Chicken (The Lott)

Heather took me to meet some puppies this afternoon. I couldn't wait to get out of there; those squirmy, fussy hairballs give me the heebie geebies. There's one she's thinking of bringing home in a week or two. A little 3lb snack, I mean, girl puppy.

Heather keeps asking me if I want a puppy. Sure, I could do with a little snack. I hear they're good with a little hot sauce.
I'm not saying. I'm just saying.

Please tell her if you think she's nuts to mess with a good thing. And quick before she starts buying puppy supplies and drives a stake through the heart of her social life. I think she's going to make a decision tomorrow. Oy!
